Dr. Laura was born with a progressive hearing loss, and is currently a bilateral hearing aid user. She graduated from Auburn University with her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2008. She then was the youngest person to complete Auburn's Doctor of Audiology program, graduating in 2012. Since that time, she has been named an Orlando Magazine Woman of the Year (2020), had publications featured in The Hearing Journal, and been a presenter for AudiologyOnline. Dr. Laura founded Citrus Hearing Clinic in 2018 in order to better serve her home community with Best Practice Audiology services for all ages. She has practiced Audiology in a variety of settings, including private practice, in hospitals, and in medical clinics alongside primary care physicians, Ear-Nose-Throat specialists, physicians' assistants, nurses, and medical assistants. She has experience with patients of all ages, from newborns through centenarians. She is a member of Clermont's First United Methodist Church where she sings in the choir. She has a young son with her husband, who helps manage the practice. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with Moonlight Players Theatre, tending her small vegetable garden, and loving on her cats.
