Dr. Teresa J. Parsons, Au.D., CCC-A, F-AAA
Board Certified Doctor Of Audiology
drteresa@citrushearing.comDr. Teresa J. Parsons graduated from the University of South Florida receiving both her Doctorate of Clinical Audiology (Au.D.) in 2020 and Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders in 2016.
Dr. Teresa says that she “fell into” the field of audiology after observing multiple healthcare professions. She did not realize until starting classes in graduate school that it is abnormal to hear ringing in her ears! Dr. Teresa has been diagnosed with constant bilateral tinnitus and has tried many different devices for on-ear sound therapy. Ask Dr. Teresa about her favorite tinnitus management strategies.
Dr. Teresa worked in an auditory research lab for over four years, where she investigated effects of aging and noise on the hearing system. She is proud to have presented her research findings at conferences nationwide.
She is well-versed on all major brands of hearing aids and cochlear implants. Dr. Teresa enjoys supporting people through the entire patient journey.
You may recognize Dr. Teresa from when she worked as a student clinician with us in the spring of 2019. Now, Dr. Teresa and her family have moved to Clermont to rejoin the Citrus Hearing Clinic team. She is looking forward to exploring all the beautiful nature spots in central Florida.
