Daniel Chun, B.S.

Audiology Extern

Meet Daniel Chun, B.S.

Daniel Chun, B.S. graduated from the University of Utah in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders. He is currently a fourth-year doctoral student at the University of South Florida, pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Audiology (Au.D.), with plans to complete his clinical degree in 2025. Following this, Daniel aims to further his passion for research by pursuing a Ph.D. in audiology.

Daniel’s interest in audiology was sparked by his father, an ENT specialist in Korea who focuses on ear surgery. Before enrolling in his doctoral program, Daniel completed a year-long internship at his father’s clinic, where he gained invaluable experience observing audiologists and ear surgeries. This experience ignited his fascination with cochlear implants and strategies for managing hearing loss. He is fluent in both Korean and English, enhancing the diversity of our staff.

Daniel first joined us as a student clinician in the fall of 2019. Inspired by our patient-centered care and clinical approach, he returned to Citrus Hearing Clinic for a full-year externship to further develop his skills in the best practices we offer our patients.

His primary interests in audiology include cochlear implants, sound localization, hearing aid technology, and auditory processing.
