Lenire
At Citrus Hearing Clinic, we're proud to offer Lenire, an FDA-approved treatment for tinnitus. As one of the initial 44 clinics nationwide chosen by Lenire after evaluating over 14,000 audiologists, we're committed to providing advanced tinnitus care to our community.
How Lenire Works
Lenire is a non-invasive, evidence-based tinnitus treatment device designed to provide relief from persistent tinnitus symptoms. This FDA-approved solution allows patients to manage their tinnitus from home with professional support from our Doctors of Audiology, Dr. Laura Bradley Pratesi and Dr. Teresa J. Parsons, who both have personal experience with tinnitus and hearing aids.
The Lenire system uses bimodal neuromodulation through two components:
- Audio Component: Wireless Bluetooth headphones deliver customized sound therapy to your ears
- Tongue Stimulation: A tongue-tip device with 32 electrodes provides gentle electrical stimulation to the trigeminal nerve
This dual stimulation approach targets both the trigeminal nerve and auditory nerves simultaneously, potentially modifying the neural pathways responsible for tinnitus. Through consistent use, Lenire promotes neuroplasticity—your brain's ability to reorganize itself—which can reduce tinnitus awareness and its impact on daily life.

Begin Your Tinnitus Relief Journey
We were the first practice in Florida to provide Lenire and are part of the initial community of Modern Tinnitus Specialty Centers. Our doctors have personal experience with tinnitus—Dr. Parsons uses hearing aids for bilateral tinnitus, and Dr. Pratesi is a bilateral hearing aid user herself.
We offer tailored treatment options and conduct thorough evaluations using best practice protocols, including Real Ear Measurements to ensure optimal device settings. For personalized tinnitus relief, call us at 352-989-5123 or visit our Clermont clinic.
